Dr. Shadonna Davis

LCSW, PhD

Dr. Shadonna Davis has over 15 years of social work experience serving families and the most vulnerable. Dr. Davis conducts assessments and specializes in locating and connecting concrete resources: visiting nurse service, hospice care, aide service, transportation, housekeeping, lists of residential care agencies, nursing homes, the local Area Agency on Aging programs. She also has over a decade of experience utilizing social emotional learning, trauma-informed approaches, conflict resolutions, communication and interpersonal skills development that is essential for positive development and relationships. Dr. Davis is particularly interested in families who are experiencing challenges with addressing issues surrounding aging and develops plans for coping.

Dr. Davis received a PhD in Educational Policy Studies with a concentration in Social Foundations of Education at Georgia State University, an Advanced Qualitative Research Certificate, a Master of Social Work Degree, and a Bachelor’s in Business Administration all from Georgia State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with experience in social service interventions, child welfare, and youth and community development.

Dr. Davis has presented at local, national, and international conferences on best-practices for social work. She also provides training for clinicians and social services workers on approaches to address social service issues.
