Rufus started his financial planning career in 2007 for Advanced Retirement Planning as a
Financial Planning Consultant. Rufus brings to ARP his broad-based experience and his
passion for financial planning.
Rufus specializes in the areas of retirement income distribution strategies, taxation strategies,
and college planning. He has strong knowledge and understanding of veterans’ benefits after
serving in the US Army deployed to combat during Operations Desert Storm and Shield. He
currently maintains his designation as an Accredited Claims Agent with the US Veterans
Administration.
As a former law enforcement officer and court administrator, he understands the complexities of
laws and how to navigate them. He utilizes this skillset in this current role by helping individuals
and families to meet their healthcare and financial goals.
Clients come to him with a variety of concerns: Medicare, burial, long term care, legacy planning
and outliving their assets. ARP planners specialize in key areas of health and financial planning.
He understands that each client has unique financial and personal needs. He will work to meet
clients’ needs in the most cost-efficient manner, uphold exemplary customer service standards
and treat each client with respect and dignity.
He focuses on financial and retirement plans that are suitable for his client’s needs, efficient
in cost and operation, and flexible for the changes that happen in life.
Rufus is an active member of the Impact Church in East Point. He and his partner Shadonna
enjoy traveling the world and having new experiences. Rufus has three adult children, Rufus
Jr., Shatavia and Jacob. Rufus enjoys spending his spare time with his grandson Isaiah and
going to Atlanta Falcon football games.
