Billy “Ralph” Malone

Billy Malone was raised in Abilene, Texas, and received his BA degree in Political Science from the University of Houston. He retired after 25 years in the U.S. Navy while rising to the rank of Captain. During his tenure in the Navy, he served on 6 ships and had 2 tours of duty in the Pentagon. Of note, he had command of USS Jesse L Brown, a Frigate, and served as commanding officer of 2 shore commands.
After retiring from the Navy, Billy was selected to be the Senior Naval Science Instructor at the Stockbridge High School NJROTC unit from July 2001 until July 2017. His unit earned Distinguished Unit honors during all 16 years of his tenure.
In addition to his BA, he also earned a master’s in educational leadership from Mercer University. He completed an Associates in Accounting at SCTC in 2019 and has been enrolled to practice before the IRS as an Enrolled Agent as of January 2020.
He has been married to his wife Donna since July 1977. They have four adult children scattered from Portland, OR to New York, NY, and they also have five grandchildren.
